LB DIGIPASS Application

DIGIPASS activation

  • Download the LB DIGIPASS Application to your mobile device from the relevant store.
  • Login to your NetBank and use Services/Activate Digipass menu to activate your DIGIPASS.

1. Manual activation

  • Press „Enter activation data”
  • Type the Serial number (only the 7 digits need to be entered)
  • Type the Activation code
  • Create your DIGIPASS PIN* by typing a 4-16 character long, alphanumeric code of your choice
  • Confirm your DIGIPASS PIN* by re-typing the same code
  • Press „OK”
  • For supported fingerprint readers** the following text appears: “Your device has a fingerprint sensor. Do you want to activate biometric protection?”
  • If “Yes”, please scan your fingerprint to protect your DIGIPASS
  • If “No”, the DIGIPASS PIN will protect your DIGIPASS
  • These settings can later be changed in the Settings Menu, please see the User’s Manual
  • Your Validation Number appears on your mobile phone’s screen
  • Type this Validation Number in our NetBank 
  • You will receive an e-mail notification about successful Digipass activation

2. Activation with QR Code***

  • Press „Scan activation data”
  • Read the QR code*** from the NetBank screen by framing it with your mobile phone’s camera
  • Create your DIGIPASS PIN* by typing a code of your choice
  • Confirm your DIGIPASS PIN* by re-typing the same code
  • Press „OK”
  • For supported fingerprint readers** the following text appears: “Your device has a fingerprint sensor. Do you want to activate biometric protection?”
  • If “Yes”, please scan your fingerprint to protect your DIGIPASS
  • If “No”, the DIGIPASS PIN will protect your DIGIPASS
  • These settings can later be changed in the Settings Menu, please see the User’s Manual
  • Your Validation Number appears on your mobile phone’s screen
  • Type this Validation Number in our NetBank 
  • You will receive an e-mail notification about successful Digipass activation

More than one DIGIPASS in the same application

If you are authorized to access more Loyal Bank accounts under different Customer IDs, you will need a separate DIGIPASS to access each customer. You can active multiple DIGIPASSes within the same application, using the same mobile device.

Generate DIGIPASS Response Code

  • Select the DIGIPASS you would like to use
  • Press „DIGIPASS Response Code”
  • Enter your DIGIPASS PIN and press „OK” or scan your fingerprint if requested
  • Use the „Generated DIGIPASS Response Code” value (it is a 6-digit number) to access/authorize LB NetBank services

Settings

1. Read the Users' Manual

  • Press "Manual"

2. Change DIGIPASS PIN

  • Select „Change DIGIPASS PIN*”
  • Enter your current DIGIPASS PIN*
  • Enter a new DIGIPASS PIN*
  • Re-type your DIGIPASS PIN*

To keep your data secure, a DIGIPASS PIN forgotten can never be restored. Changing the DIGIPASS PIN* is only possible by entering it first. If you forgot your DIGIPASS PIN* please read the next section about Reactivation.

3. Manage fingerprint protection

  • If the fingerprint protection is enabled in the LB DIGIPASS application:
    • “Do you want to deactivate biometric protection?”
    • If “Yes” – please scan your fingerprint,
      If “No” – it will not be deactivated.
  • If the fingerprint protection is disabled in the application:
    •  “Your device has a fingerprint sensor. Do you want to activate biometric protection?”
    • If “Yes” – please enter your DIGIPASS PIN and scan your fingerprint,
      I “No” – it will not be activated.

4, Reactivation

During the DIGIPASS life cycle, you may have to reactivate the application for various reasons. Reactivation may be necessary in the following scenarios:

  • You forgot your DIGIPASS PIN. Since DIGIPASS Response Codes cannot be generated without entering the DIGIPASS PIN.
  • You lost the device, and the application on the new device should have the same configuration.
  • You want to change your mobile device that you use to generate DIGIPASS Response Codes.

You need to reinstall the application and activate it with the parameters provided by LB NetBank. After selecting Reactivation please follow the activation procedure described above.

5. DIGIPASS Information

LB DIGIPASS application can display DIGIPASS information that may be useful for troubleshooting.

6. Rename DIGIPASS

By default, the name of a DIGIPASS is its serial number. If you have more than one DIGIPASS activated within the application, it might be helpful to rename them. Renaming a DIGIPASS only affects the text displayed to you on launching the LB DIGIPASS Application.

7. Delete the DIGIPASS

Deleting a DIGIPASS does not remove the LB DIGIPASS Application from your mobile device. When a DIGIPASS is deleted, the user must confirm the deletion. Once a DIGIPASS is deleted, the user can continue to use any of the other activated DIGIPASSes within the application, or activate a new one. If the deleted DIGIPASS was the only or last activated DIGIPASS, you are prompted to activate a new one.

*The LB DIGIPASS application is able to detect weak PIN settings. If you submit a weak PIN, the application will reject it, indicating that the PIN is not strong enough. A DIGIPASS PIN is considered weak if the difference between two successive characters is constant. The correct length of the PIN is between 4 and 16 characters.

Physical DIGIPASS

Setting up your Physical DIGIPASS the first time

  • Press the 'On/Off' button to switch the device on;
  • "LOYAL BANK ENTER LOYAL INIT PIN:" appears;
  • Enter your own 5 digit INIT PIN that you can find in the NetBank under the "Activate Digipass" menu. Please note that when you enter your 5 digit INIT PIN into the Digipass device it will only display 4 '*' signs. This is normal and not a fault or error;
  • Press the '=' button and the text "CHOOSE NEW PIN" appears;
  • Enter your own unique 4 digit PIN number (you can choose any 4 digit number);
  • Press the '=' button;
  • The text "REPEAT NEW PIN" appears on the display;
  • Enter the same 4 digit PIN number again;
  • Press the '=' button;
  • If the PIN you entered was accepted by the device you will see the following text on the display "NEW PIN OK" and then "LOYAL BANK"
  • Press the 'On/Off' button to switch the device off if you are not going to use it immediately;
  • You will receive an e-mail notification about successful Digipass activation.

After this initial setup you can use your Digipass device with the new PIN number which only you know. Loyal Bank does not know this PIN and has no record of it.

Generating a Digipass Response Code 

  • Press the 'On/Off' button on your Digipass device to turn it on;
  • Press the 'I' button on your Digipass device;
  • Message "YOUR PIN?" appears;
  • Enter your 4 own unique digit PIN number;
  • Press the '=' button;
  • Enter the 6-digit Response Code that you see on the display of your Digipass into the textbox on the screen;
  • Press the 'On/Off' button to switch the device off when you have finished.

How could my Digipass become blocked or unusable?

There are three ways this could happen:

1. When you try to login but you enter wrong PIN code more than 3 times consecutively:

If you enter the wrong PIN code consecutively, the Digipass will be blocked and you will be not able to log-in in order to generate any Response Code.

Error messages, after each wrong PIN code, are displayed on the screen of your Digipass and they mean the following:

  • 1st wrong PIN code: the device displays: PIN ERROR 1
  • 2nd wrong PIN code: the device displays: PIN ERROR 2
  • 3rd wrong PIN code: the device displays: PIN ERROR - LOCKED 5 MIN, which means that your Digipass is LOCKED for the next 5 Minutes. After you wait 5 minutes, the following message will appear: PIN ERROR 3
  • 4th wrong PIN code: the device displays: PIN ERROR - LOCKED 5 MIN, which means that your Digipass is LOCKED for an additional 5 Minutes. After you wait 5 minutes, the following message will appear: PIN ERROR 4
  • 5th wrong PIN code: the device displays: DIGIPASS BLOCKED - GO TO BANK: Please note that if this message appears your Digipass will need to be replaced. Please go to our NetBank (with your IAC) to request a new one or call our Customer Services Team on +36 1 383 0853 or Skype to loyalbankcustomerservice or by email to .

2. Wrong Response Code or Electronic Signature:

If you generate the wrong Response Code or Electronic Signature, or you input in our Netbank the wrong code or signature your Digipass device could be blocked for 24 hours or possibly permanently as follows:

  • Daily blocking: after 3 consecutive wrong Response Codes or Electronic Signatures in one day, your device will be blocked for 24 hours.
  • Final blocking: after 6 consecutive wrong Response Codes or Electronic Signatures, your device will be blocked by the system and you will need to replace your Digipass device trough your NetBank (with your IAC) or by contacting our Customer Services Team on +36 1 383 0853 or Skype to loyalbankcustomerservice or by email to .

3. Device malfunction or battery failure:

  • Digipasses are robust and the battery is designed to last up to five years in normal use but devices may fail from time to time. If this happens please contact our Customer Services Team on +36 1 383 0853 or Skype to loyalbankcustomerservice or by email to . Digipasses do not have any user – serviceable parts and attempting to change the battery wipes the software.
